This portfolio is a collection of works in poetry and memoir, including a Statement of Craft and Bibliography of works I have found to be influential in improving the craft of my own writing. The pages of writing, which can be navigated below this post, include two sets of poetry, and a section of a memoir which is a section of an ongoing work. There are pages dedicated to the aforementioned Statement of Craft and Bibliography of Influence as well.

My writing often focuses on the complexities of dependence as they occur and develop in romantic relationships. I often liken this sense of dependence within romantic relationships to the dependence more easily depicted through mood-altering substance use, or through physical manifestations of a relationship. I have a tendency to use my poetry as a means of informing a better sense of clarity to convert my thoughts into prose.
